The Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries, Bjarkey Olsen Gunnarsdóttir, has issued a license for the hunting of 128 fin whales. 

The license is valid for the 2024 hunting season and given to the last whaling company in Iceland, Hvalur.hf. 

We condemn the senseless and inhumane hunting of whales and demand that Parliament listen to the will of the people and stop the slaughter.

Iceland waters need to be a place of protection, not destruction.

We will not cease until whaling is banned altogether.
