People in our community, Quezon City, are always seen throwing trash disregarding maintaining cleanliness in the area. With this, pollution is most commonly seen in the area, making people who live there, and visitors in the area, being used to that kind of environment.

Normalizing this kind of environment is bad for the present and the future at the same time.

How? Well, think of it this way—People in your community are used to waste pollution in the area, that’s why they don’t have any interest in changing that environment because the officials are also not stepping up or doing something to address the issue. With this, it will go on and on until the future comes up and no one will care enough to step up and do an action about it, resulting in waste pollution all throughout.

You will see pollution almost everywhere in our area—Quezon City. In the streets, rivers, outside infrastructures, and more.

It is concerning that few people are only taking action and speaking up about this and some are not even gaining attention, which is why I am starting this petition for this issues to gain more attention and for more people to participate in taking care of the area, cleaning it and maintaining this.

We can now all start smart small, by following The Solid Waste Management and other waste management programs and actions, we can actually help a lot and yes it is a small step but it is a start.

Quezon City is a wide area full of people they need to protect, and satisfy. The Quezon City Government ought to do something about this that actually gives a proper response to this problem, and not just an action that won’t continue and last long.

Our environment says a lot about us and is doing everything for us, and if we don’t save the environment, it is us who we are not saving. We must always remember; The environment can live without us in it, but we cannot live without the environment.

If not act now, then when? Will we wait for this issue to grow more into something that even officials cannot control anymore? It is more guaranteed to act now, since we have all the advancement that we need to make it happen.

We have technology to spread this, and we can have participants and volunteers that are interested in change for this issue.

May we all not take for granted the environment that is given to us in the first place for us to live in and to protect this given environment.
