Ban UNETHICAL TREATMENT of ALL animals

The Issue

It’s known that there are regulations for handling animals, but there are still SO MANY issues with how they are treated. This petition is to stop the unethical treatment animals receive behind the scenes.

Why SHOULD unethical breeding be banned?

  • Animals that are bred UNETHICALLY are typically ABUSED and are forced to mate until death.
  • Profit is PRIORITIZED over the welfare of the animals.
  • Overpopulation and overbreeding is very common, it not only leads to animal abandonment, most commonly with dogs, but also leads to health issues with the mother and offspring.
  • Abandonment leads to an increased number of animals being euthanized in shelters.
  • Health problems include, but are not limited to breathing problems, deformities, skeletal issues, disorders, vision problems, and birthing difficulties.
  • Inbreeding animals is a common thing unethical breeders do, which also leads to health problems.
  • Shorter life span, due to all of the health issues that come with unethical breeding animals are bound to a short life span.
  • Unethical breeding causes stress to the animals, which also leads to behavioral issues.

Why IS unethical control an ISSUE?

  • Animals are kept in spaces that are much too small, which not only is unsanitary, but it also raises concerns for cramming - cramming can lead to increased stress, suffocation, injuries, and disease spreading.
  • Inaccessible food, water, shelter, snd lack of care for their wellbeing, which is neglect.
  • Physical abuse, more often than not these animals are abused into submission, which is extremely unethical.
  • They’re taken out of their natural habitat, which leads to increased stress, how they interact with nature, behavioral issues, and struggles with adaptation.

What can YOU do to help?

  • ADOPT instead of shopping for animals, animal shelters and rescue organizations are great places to adopt a furry friend.
  • Support petitions, laws, and organizations that protect animals.
  • Do YOUR OWN research, in doing so you can exchange information with others and learn how to determine unethical breeding practices.
  • Support ETHICAL breeders, do your research, and ensure the animal’s wellbeing is prioritized.
  • AVOID pet stores as more often than not dogs come from puppy mills, so when you support a business that SELLS them, you are encouraging them to make more, which only leads to more issues.
