As a mother of a daughter who is an athlete, I find it a violation of women’s rights that biological males are exploiting the trans movement to advance their own athletics, taking opportunities away from real women. This should not ever be allowed based on scientific evidence that males have biological advantages over females. The entire reason the two have separate competitions in nearly every sport. Transgender, specifically male to female athletes, should not be permitted to compete in women’s sports. This should be voted on by the American people and mandated nationwide on a federal level.

Women have fought hard for their rights in sports, evolving from times when they were excluded from competition to a place where they could enjoy and excel on equal terms within their own categories. Allowing male-to-female transgender athletes to participate alongside biological females disrupts this balance, eroding the advancements achieved in women's sports over the decades.

There are numerous scientific studies that document the physical advantages that biological males generally possess over biological females, even after transitioning. Males typically have larger bone structure, greater muscle mass, and higher levels of oxygen-carrying capacity from their cardiovascular system which can enhance their athletic performance. This scientific evidence forms the basis for having male and female categories in sports, to ensure fair competition.

Protecting women’s sports should be a priority in order to preserve the integrity and fairness that these distinctions were designed to provide. Federal legislation should be put forth and voted on by the American population, ensuring uniformity across all states to protect women's sports from unfair competition. An effective policy should be implemented, not just to ensure fairness but also to uphold the essence of what women's sports represent.

Women in the United States and across the globe deserve fair opportunities to compete, succeed and excel in their chosen sports free from unfair competition. Without nationwide action, we risk undermining women's sports entirely. Let's stand together for fairness in competition and support this critical initiative.
