Apps, platforms, and companies are profiting from a system that devalues original creators and floods the internet with uncredited, machine-made images, causing artist to have little to no future.
We, the undersigned, call on content platforms, marketplaces, app developers, and governing bodies to ban or severely restrict the use of AI-generated artwork on digital platforms. This is a necessary step to protect the livelihoods of human artists, uphold creative integrity, and ensure a fair and ethical digital art economy.

Behind every illustration, painting, and design is an artist who spent years honing their skill. AI generators, trained on massive datasets scraped from the internet, steal these works without permission, credit, or compensation. Entire styles, portfolios, and recognizable techniques are being cloned by machines that never ask for consent.

An estimated 60% to 80% of digital artists may lose their jobs within 2–5 years as AI tools replace illustrators, concept artists, and designers across gaming, publishing, marketing, and entertainment industries. Mid-career and emerging artists—those who rely on freelance commissions or entry-level roles—are being hit the hardest.

Many artists are watching their job opportunities vanish overnight. Their creative voices are being copied without permission by software that’s faster and cheaper, not better or more ethical. This isn’t just about money—it’s about identity, ownership, and respect. This Is Theft, Not Inspiration AI art doesn’t just “generate” new images — it scrapes, scans, and mimics existing artworks created by real people, often without their knowledge. These models are built by harvesting millions of images across the web, including copyrighted content from platforms like ArtStation, DeviantArt, Twitter, and Instagram. The result? Artists’ work is stolen to train commercial AI models Their styles are cloned without permission Their names are even used as prompts in AI tools, reducing their unique identity to a command This is not innovation — it’s exploitation.

 This Is an Unfair Fight, Human artists can’t compete with AI tools that: Work 24/7 with zero pay Don’t require licenses, credit, or royalties Can steal and imitate styles instantly without consent This creates a deeply unethical and unequal creative economy—where real people are pushed out, and stolen work becomes the foundation of profit. We’re Losing More Than Jobs We are on the verge of losing the humanity of art. Art is emotional. It is expressive. It tells stories, preserves culture, and reflects personal experience. When machines churn out shallow imitations built from stolen labor, we risk replacing meaning with mimicry.

 We Demand the Following Actions:

To protect the future of human creativity and enforce ethical standards, we demand that all digital platforms, marketplaces, and app developers:

*Ban the upload and use of AI-generated art on creative and content-sharing platforms.

*Label and disclose all AI-generated content clearly and prominently.

*Promote and prioritize human-made art in search, recommendations, and monetization tools.

*Prohibit the use, scraping, scanning, tracing, or training on human-created artwork without explicit, informed consent from the artist.

*Ensure that no platform hosts, supports, or profits from AI models trained on stolen or unlicensed artwork.

*Create transparent policies and legal safeguards to protect artists from having their work exploited by AI systems.
