I am a student in Mountain House, CA, and I am personally experiencing the negative impacts of using Imagine Edgenuity in our educational system and on our mental health. This program is not only ineffective but also detrimental to our learning experience.

Imagine Edgenuity is an online platform that was hastily adopted by many schools during the pandemic. However, it has proven to be subpar compared to traditional teaching methods. According to a study conducted by the National Education Policy Center, students who use online-only instruction programs like Imagine Edgenuity tend to have lower graduation rates and poorer academic outcomes (National Education Policy Center).

Moreover, this program lacks personal interaction and feedback from teachers which are essential for effective learning. Edgenuity creates a learning gap between students in their program and students that have physical teachers. This results is unnecessary stress for the students in the program to catch up to students with physical teachers.

Furthermore, Imagine Edgenuity program is unable to properly do it's job. This is because most kids don't pay attention to the video's, opting to do assignments form other classes or play games. This makes the program not do it's job of teaching the students.

We believe that education should be about nurturing minds and fostering growth rather than just ticking off boxes on an online platform. We urge the local authorities of Mountain House, CA to reconsider their decision and ban the use of Imagine Edgenuity in our schools.
