Ban the use of false alienation claims in family violence/coercive control matters

The issue

In family violence cases before the courts countless false allegations of alienation, abuse and neglect are made against the victim as an extension of abuse via the court system. Professionals acting for perpetrators of family violence need to take an honest and responsible approach to acting for perpetrators and the impact of their actions on the children. Children are being forced into the care of perpetrators against their wishes due to the making of a variety of false claims against the victim and it not being picked up by professionals and the court system alike. There has been a call by the International Human Rights Commission; A/HRC/53/36: Custody, violence against women and violence against children - Report of the Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, its causes and consequences, Reem Alsalem | OHCHR to ban the use of special reports and the use of alienation cases due to it being continued abuse by a perpetrator. Citizens, legal professionals and organisations need to petition parliament and expose these practices. This article is relevant to such practices in Australia and the impact on thousands of survivors and children. If you have survived family violence and had children removed due to false alienation and false abuse claims set out your circumstances and contact your federal member (under the families portfolio) in parliament to bring this to their attention and seek changes so that this practice stops in our community and courts.https://www.ohchr.org/en/documents/thematic-reports/ahrc5336-custody-violence-against-women-and-violence-against-children
