As you may be aware currently the Taliban are closing in on the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul. With allied troops having withdrawn the Taliban cannot be permanently kept out the city, this isn’t about politics it’s about saving animals and the lives caught up in this.
The situation there puts everyone at risk including animal rescues.
@nowdazrescue is based in Kabul and is run by @penfarthing, a former Royal Marine.
They are trying to evacuate 98 dogs, 88 cats and 25 staff on a specially chartered cargo plane to the UK called ‘Operation Ark’.
They need to raise $200,000 within the next couple of days for the flight and the costs on arrival.
