Artificial Intelligence is a new, largely untested technology. As a student attending Westland Middle School, I am concerned about the quality of education we will receive in an environment inundated by artificial intelligence. We are the future of America, and I, for one, would be concerned if we were not able to express our views without AI. 

Artificial Intelligence is also largely untrustworthy regarding factual information. Can you imagine if it was used to inform our curriculum? And further, if students were to use it to complete their assignments based on this false curriculum? This cannot happen; we must not allow it to happen. Join me in opposing the use of artificial intelligence by Montgomery County Public Schools staff and students.

What can you do to help?

First, fill out this form posted by MCPS asking for our feedback on AI guidelines and regulations demanding that it be banned within MCPS. 

Next, email someone, the school board and especially the SMOB represent US.  It is their job to ensure we recieve the best education possible. 

Last, encourage friends to do the same, talk to teachers about the issue, bring it to your principle, the more people advocating for our education the more likely we are to succeed. 

We will never let AI take over our valuble educations and it poses a significant risk of doing so. Full ban on AI in MCPS now!
