We have almost reached 300 signatures! If we all email the top cat associations to stop their support for the Scottish Fold, they’ll have to answer us. Below is an outline of what to say and who to email to. We have to keep going until they answer us! This is only the beginning.

I have came to email you today about your organization’s support for the Scottish Fold.
The Scottish Fold cat breed has major health problems that often gives them short, painful lives. Any cat with folded ears has or will develop, often times severe, arthritis. They are also highly susceptible to heart and kidney diseases.
I know of this, not only from mounting amounts of evidence, but from my friend, Courtney Atkinson.
Her cat, Bryson, was half Scottish Fold and half British Shorthair. He died from heart or kidney disease, according to her veterinarians, at the young age of two years. She took great care of him. She kept him indoors, fed him high quality cat food, and took him to the veterinarian regularly, yet he still died.
Courtney didn’t know of the many health issues the breed had because of cat associations like yours, and she was devastated to know the truth. She realized that his stiff tail was not natural, and that he had oncoming symptoms of arthritis, despite being so young. He wouldn’t have had these problems if he wasn’t the Scottish Fold.
However, she and I don’t stand alone on this issue. There are over 250 others who have heard Bryson’s story, believe that we should ban the Scottish Fold, and signed her petition. We need your help to make this possible.
I am asking for your organization to stop your support of the Scottish Fold. Animal suffering is in your hands, and we need your help to stop it. I don’t want there to be another Bryson, and so do 250 others. This needs to stop.
