As an individual deeply concerned about the welfare of animals, I am calling for a ban on all sales of fireworks to the general public. The loud bangs from these fireworks cause immense distress and suffering to our pets and wildlife. By limiting fireworks to organised events only, we can better prepare our animals for these occasions and ensure their safety.

Moreover, fireworks pose a significant risk to public safety. According to a report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in 2019 alone there were approximately 10,000 injuries caused by fireworks in America (U.S. CPSC). This is an alarming statistic that further underscores why such items should not be sold indiscriminately.

For the sake of all animals having to endure this unnecessary stress and potential harm from accidents related with firework misuse, I urge you all - animal lovers or not - please sign this petition and help us make a change that will benefit both our furry friends and society as a whole.
