The above advertisement put out by the Washington County Fair committee sums up the issue.  This event is not only extremely cruel to the animals, but also unfair (and potentially dangerous) for the children. Teaching our children to scare and intimidate animals for "fun" is the opposite of what the fair and parents should be doing.  It is the adults' responsibility to teach our children to show respect for our livestock that provide us with so many resources.  This event is barbaric, disheartening, and overall embarrassing for our community.
