As a concerned parent living in Florida, I am deeply worried about the safety of our children on the roads. Our kids are growing up in a world filled with distractions and unknown dangers, many of which we cannot prevent. However, there is one danger that we can address - squatted vehicles.

Operating a vehicle is inherently dangerous, even with all the safety features and engineering advancements of modern cars. Yet our children are modifying their vehicles by squatting them - raising the front end while leaving the rear low. This not only changes collision angles but also affects headlight angles, compromising their ability to see and be seen on public roads.

These modifications aren't just risky; they're trendy among young drivers who may not fully understand or appreciate their potential consequences. But as parents and responsible citizens, we know better than to sacrifice safety for style.

We must urge our state legislators to pass a law prohibiting squatted vehicles' operation on public roads in Florida. By doing so, we can ensure safer road conditions for all drivers and pedestrians alike. Let’s join with North Carolina and end this foolishness.
