Ban the ''Arthur'' episode "Kiss and Tell" from TV and all viewing platforms
The Issue
The episode "Kiss and Tell" of Arthur feels really gross and inappropriate because it focuses on four-year-olds kissing. Specifically, D.W. hears from her friend Emily about how a boy kissed her (revealed near the end of the episode to have been on the hand) and how it made her feel like a princess in a fairytale. As a result, D.W. spends the rest of the episode trying out various schemes to make a boy in her class named James MacDonald kiss her until he finally does kiss her on the cheek when she simply demands it upfront. IMO, it was nothing short of heinous of the show's producers to have a storyline like this, since the characters involved are way too young for that sort of thing. Think about it: a bunch of adults on the show's prod team wrote and approved of a storyline that focuses on four-year-olds kissing. That doesn't bode well at all, does it? Despite that, the episode has remained viewable for 21 years now on TV and streaming services like Amazon Prime Video and Pluto TV. Help me finally get this gross episode of the otherwise (mostly) beloved children's edutainment show its long overdue banhammer smash! You can see the episode (for the sake of passing your own judgment on it) here, although you have to either be a resident of Canada or use a VPN.
