We've Passed 200 Signatures ! Look What We're Building Together!

Hi everyone,
We've passed 200 signatures! Thank you so much to everyone who has helped Ban Fake Webs reach this milestone.
When I started this campaign, I already knew people shared my concerns. I'd seen people speaking out against these decorations in separate Facebook groups and community discussions, all recognising the same problem and wanting something done about it.
What was missing was a way to bring those voices together and make sure the people with the power to change things heard them.
That's what Ban Fake Webs is about, and thanks to you, we're beginning to make that happen.
In just over a week, we've brought together supporters from 27 countries, with growing support across Australia, particularly here in Victoria.
We've also been fortunate to have our petition featured in a wildlife-awareness post by @beesandblossoms.aus, helping introduce the campaign to a wider audience. A special thank you to them for supporting our cause.
But above all, I want to thank you, our supporters.
Whether you've signed, shared the petition, followed the campaign or encouraged others to get involved, you've helped bring more people together around an issue that deserves attention.
I'd also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the seven supporters who have generously contributed financially to promoting the petition through Change.org.
You've chosen to go a step further and contribute your own money to help our message reach more people. That generosity and belief in what we're trying to achieve mean a great deal to me, and I'm genuinely grateful.
Every signature, every share and every contribution matters. You're helping build something that none of us could achieve as effectively on our own.
Our immediate objective remains clear: to secure a ban on the sale and supply of loose, stretchable synthetic Halloween spiderweb decorations in Victoria, along with restrictions on their outdoor use. Ultimately, we'd like to see these dangerous products removed from shelves and gardens across Australia.
And although Halloween is approaching, this campaign won't end on 31 October. We're working towards lasting change, not just raising awareness for one season.

You can help by sharing our posts or contacting me directly with ideas, experience, useful contacts or suggestions for strengthening the campaign. I'd genuinely welcome hearing from anyone who thinks they can contribute.
Our next milestone is 500 signatures, but the real goal has never been about reaching a particular number.
It's about bringing people together, making our collective voice impossible to ignore and turning that support into meaningful change for wildlife.
To everyone who has supported this campaign from the beginning, thank you for helping build its foundations. I hope you'll stay involved and be part of what comes next.
Let's keep spreading the word and get these things off our shelves and out of our gardens!
Have a great week!
