101 Signatures! Thank You to Our First Supporters Across Australia and Beyond

Ban Fake WebsMelbourne, Australia
Oct 19, 2026

Hi everyone,

We’ve reached 101 signatures! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the campaign so far.

To those of you who were among the first 101 people to sign, a special thank you. You backed this campaign when it was just getting started, and your support has helped show that this is something people genuinely care about.

A special thanks also to those who have contributed financially to help spread the word. Every signature, share and contribution is genuinely appreciated.

What started with bees trapped in fake Halloween spiderwebs in Kensington, Melbourne, is now attracting support from across Australia and around the world.

We’ve received signatures from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, as well as the UK, USA, Germany, France and many other countries.

In fact, our first 100 signatures represented 25 countries!

It’s encouraging to see people from so many different places coming together over a shared concern for wildlife. While our petition is focused on changing Victorian laws, your support shows that this issue resonates well beyond our state.

Now we need your help to keep the momentum going.

Many people still don’t realise these decorations can trap and kill bees, birds and other wildlife.

If you’ve already signed, please share the petition with your friends, family and local community groups. Every share helps us reach someone who might otherwise never hear about the issue.

I genuinely appreciate every signature, every share and everyone who has taken the time to support this campaign. Your support has shown just how many people care about this issue. By bringing those voices together, we have a real opportunity to turn that concern into meaningful change.

Thank you for being part of the first 101.

Let’s spread the word and get these things off our shelves and out of our gardens!
