After years of silence and inaction, it's time for Los Gatos High School to address its student body's extensive history of rape, assault, harassment, and sexism.

Playing a sport is a privilege. 

Performing on stage is a privilege.

Going to school dances is a privilege. 

Walking at graduation is a privilege.

There are certain things every student is entitled to, but these four are nowhere on that list. It is not too much to ask of our administration to limit who can be a part of these events and activities. It is not only a matter of accountability, but a matter of student safety. 

We are calling for the school to update the Student Code of Conduct's official punishment for sexual assault. In addition to the current five-day suspension and mandatory expulsion recommendation, we demand that any student rapist be automatically banned from any future participation in school events and activities (eg. sports, dances, spirit rallies, plays, concerts, the senior graduation ceremony, etc).
