In the state of Virginia snare trapping should be illegal while people are dog hunting. There isn't many weeks out of the year hunters get to do this and they shouldn't have to worry about their dogs getting stuck in a snare trap and dying.

Some may wonder what snare trapping is, snare trapping is where a loop of wire is suspended from a branch or small tree and the snare catches an animal by the neck as it is walking along the trail. As the animal continues moving forward, the snare pulls tight, trapping the animal. This is a very painful method of trapping animals, which can lead to deep wounds, internal bleeding and even death! And sadly more then just the animals it's intended for get stuck in the middle of these horrible traps. 

If we can get this going and possibly get these snares banned just for this short bit of time it will increase the chances of these dogs getting home safely every night of the hunting season. Let's keep these dogs safer and get them home each day with their family!
