BAN SJP FROM NYU FROM CAMPUS

BAN SJP FROM NYU FROM CAMPUS
The Issue
SIGN OUR PETITION - EMAIL THE PRESIDENT
NYU has failed to uphold truth and peace, choosing instead to align with groups that celebrate terrorism while neglecting the safety of its Jewish students. We urge President Linda G. Mills to remove Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and its pro-terrorist agenda from NYU and to support a nationwide ban on this organization.
SJP has become a powerful vehicle for promoting anti-Semitism under the guise of social justice. Backed by radical groups and individuals with ties to Islamist ideologies, SJP seeks to undermine our cultural values and spread a narrative that vilifies Israel while glorifying violence. This organization celebrates terrorists responsible for the murder of thousands of innocents, particularly highlighted by the horrific events of October 7th.
SJP at NYU has publicly endorsed Hamas and called for “armed confrontation” within the United States, framing its mission as one of virtue-based activism. However, this façade conceals a dangerous agenda that fosters hatred and division. On October 7th, NYU-affiliated groups rallied throughout New York City, glorifying violence and calling for an intifada, all while waving Hezbollah flags.
SJP’s event on October 8th, titled “We Will Honor All Our Martyrs: A Silent Vigil,” sought to outline in chalk the names of individuals classified as terrorists by both the USA and EU—individuals they deceitfully refer to as "martyrs." This is a direct affront to the victims of their violence and a chilling indication of SJP's true intentions.
In response, Betar organized a pro-Israel event to loudly denounce Hamas and erase the names of these terrorists. We refuse to remain silent against the false narratives about Israel that NYU continues to promote. The university's endorsement of SJP's inflammatory rhetoric creates a hostile environment, leading to tangible threats against Jewish students both on and off campus.
While NYU claims to have increased security in response to rising tensions, it appears this measure prioritizes the safety of those who endorse terrorism over the protection of Jewish students. The FBI has issued warnings regarding threats across America—are these threats directed at Jews or at others? Your students openly display Hamas and Hezbollah flags and celebrate figures like Yahya Sinwar without repercussion, while condemning our efforts to counter these dangerous narratives.
We call on all reasonable Americans to join us in boycotting NYU until SJP is banned from campus. Sign our petition today to demand action against the spread of anti-Semitism and violence under the guise of activism.
