Securly is not safe for school. There is a lot of evidence that the company is using Securly as spyware. This information is hidden in the fine print of the contract that schools sign when installing it. I don't have access to the fine print as a student, but this is an outrage. We don't need a bypass if there's no Securly. A fact from an old petition, students need time for themselves. Most students have after-school activities or homework and don't have the time to focus on enjoyment. Securly gives teachers a way to remotely monitor students from the comfort of their desks, sure. But why have a teacher there other than to explain lesson material? Securly promotes laziness in the classroom, where students spend most of their day in. This laziness can lead to some students picking up on this behavior and not doing their work, which leads to an overall reduction in grades. In all, Securly is bad and should be banned.
