Join us tomorrow, April 18th, in celebrating the 30th anniversary of Nicky Winmar's stand against racism at the "Black & Proud" event organised by Indigenous Sports Network.

This free event is open to all and will feature traditional dance groups, music performances, and traditional Aboriginal games. Don't miss the Ngarra Jarra Noun ceremony, (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung for Healing) involving the ceremonial smoking of native leaves.
I'm honoured to be speaking at the event, discussing our ongoing campaign to ban racists for life from the AFL. It's unacceptable that in 2023, players are still subjected to racist abuse.
In a positive development over the weekend, Collingwood has formally apologised to Nicky Winmar and his teammate Gilbert McAdam for the abuse directed at them thirty years ago.
