Demand TikTok Remove the Account of Creator Halo for Mocking the Death of 15-Year-Old Javits Frimpong
We are calling on TikTok to investigate and remove the account of creator Pastor Halo Keyz 🇺🇸 (@halo_shakur0999) for allegedly creating and sharing a song mocking the death of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong.
Javits Frimpong was only 15 years old. He was a Ghanaian teenager with his entire life ahead of him. He should be remembered for the life he lived, not turned into a punchline or entertainment on social media.
Javits was fatally shot in the Bronx, New York, on October 29, 2026, while on his way to school. His father has publicly spoken about the bullying his son reportedly experienced before his death.
While his family and community are grieving, a TikTok creator using the handle @halo_shakur0999, with the display name Pastor Halo Keyz 🇺🇸, has allegedly made a song referencing Javits's death, including the phrase:
"I'm smoking on that Javits pack."
This phrase evokes smoking a person like a cigarette. Using the name of a murdered 15-year-old child in this manner is deeply disturbing and disrespectful. It turns the death of a real child into entertainment.
Imagine being Javits's parents and family members and having to see someone turn your child's death into a song.
Imagine being another young person who has experienced bullying and seeing someone mock a 15-year-old who is no longer here to defend himself.
This is not about silencing creativity or restricting freedom of expression. It is about accountability, compassion, and the dignity every human being deserves, especially a child whose life was violently taken.
TikTok has published policies addressing harassment, bullying, and degrading content involving victims of tragedies. We are asking the platform to take these policies seriously and investigate this creator's content.
WHAT WE ARE DEMANDING FROM TIKTOK
Immediately investigate the TikTok account @halo_shakur0999, also known as Pastor Halo Keyz 🇺🇸.
Review the song and all videos referencing Javits Frimpong's death.
Remove content found to violate TikTok's Community Guidelines.
Permanently suspend and remove the account if the investigation establishes violations warranting that action.
Take stronger measures to protect grieving families and prevent the deaths of children from being used for online ridicule and entertainment.
Javits was somebody's son. He was somebody's child. He was only 15 years old. He had dreams, ambitions, family, and a future.
His life mattered.
His family deserves to grieve without having to watch strangers turn his death into entertainment.
We are asking TikTok, its leadership, and its Trust and Safety team to listen to the public and take appropriate action.
