THE DRAFT BILL TO LIFT THE AGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA TO 16 HAS NOW PASSED!

Australian children will now have more time to play, sing, dream, dance, swim, learn, and connect—in real life.

We are the first in the world to do this and when history reflects on the reclamation of childhood from the grips of social media, it will note that it all began right here in Australia.

At the start of the week, we expressed reservations about this law. We don't think it goes far enough.

But today, we just want to celebrate the principle, the line that's been drawn in the sands of Bondi, Scarborough, Bells and Cape Trib—a line that declares:  "Enough! Australian kids are not for sale anymore!"
