For animals, fireworks are terrifying and could be fatal. Many dogs, cats or birds flee in fear from their deafening blasts. Animals become confused and panicked, and shelters see a spike in the number of admissions after fireworks displays. It even may cause death due to intensive shock from loud explosion of the fireworks. Keeping them indoors may not be enough because animals have sensitive ears and could hear from distances. Moreover, People who use fireworks carelessly, or without knowing what they're doing can be killed or maimed. They can also kill or maim others. Also, fireworks can burn down houses, damage entertainment venues such as nightclubs, frighten children and adults, cause bushfires, and terrify pets and wildlife. Noise from fireworks can cause distress, especially as fireworks can sound like gunfire. The noise can also cause tinnitus and deafness, or aggravate a nervous condition. Wildlife rehabilitation centers report a wide range of problems when people start setting off fireworks. Police also received complaints from pet owners due to the loud noise that affect their pets. By banning or control the use of fireworks, we could protect the animals from harming themselves due to panicking from the loud noise and also could prevent deaths of the animals. We should treat animals like humans. They deserve to be protected from any harm.
