Sadly the Oakbank jumps racing opened with a fall - Baklava Boy fortunately got up but this doesn't mean he is alright. Another fall was in the number of people attending the Oakbank carnival; proof that people don't like the cruelty and danger that is jumps racing. The Racing Minister himself, Leon Bignell, stated on 7 News that he "refuses to watch steeplechases... because of the risks to the horses and the riders". We hope that the SA Parliamentary Inquiry into jumps racing results in a ban. Please sign and share this petition to reinforce the message that we want jumps racing banned in 2016!
