Dear friends and frenemies.

As I write this final update we have come to be 54 840 individuals who has signed this petition.

I thank you all for engaging in this, taking your time and making the world know that you do not accept the Israeli governments shameless attempts to wash away their disgusting ways of oppressing, colonizing, murdering and the erasure of Palestine and Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank!

The petition has also had a staggering 504,876 petition views!!! Half a MILLION!! Thats is INSANE and very interesting at the same time....Who are these people, why did they watch and not sign, did they come here on a regular basis to collect info, did the EBU come here ;) So many questions?!!?

And, to the 985 promoters, who chipped in with SEK 88,924, You are Amazing!! And from the bottom of my heart,THANK YOU! Without you the petition never would have grown to this size!

 

Now over to some more serious business 

What have I learned from this journey? Well, first of all, that the EBU is, what they say in gangster movies "untouchable", or as my mother says.. It´s like pouring water on a goose, it falls right off...

That the EBU despite several protests, from artists, countries, individual petitions, e- mails and demonstrations has shown us that their type of "democracy" is not for everyone.

They have clearly shown the world that they love and treasure Israel more than any other participants in the Eurovision Song Contest. The EBU created a very unsafe environment, and made several of the people involved in the ESC feel unsafe and exposed due to Israels participation. The EBU didn´t give a fuck about that. Clearly.

To understad why this is , it´s as simple as following the money for the ESC, it´s Israeli. 

Israel has bought and paid for their participation and the chance to be on stage trying to better their image. Even during a time when Israel is committing a GENOCIDE! The EBU is seriously corrupt and should really be audited by journalists as well as every broadcaster that spends their money on the EBU. Do you really wanna be a part of this in the future? Is this what you wanna contribute your taxpayers money to? 

The EBU and Eurovision Song Contest should also REALLY change their rules into that countries that are involved in ongoing conflicts should be excluded and not allowed. It is 2024, and WWII is over, conflicts ongoing such as Israels genocide, so that  by having rules that permitted ISRAEL to join the ESC something is OBVIOUSLY wrong in these rules! Time for a CHANGE!

 

And on to the voting... Some of it was clearly rigged by Pro Israeli forces, in Sweden we have recently exposed a "troll factory" runned by extrem right wing party, Sverige Demokraterna, they bought and paid for adverts in paper media and online calling themselves "Israeli friends" promoting and calling on people to vote for Israel. So those extra votes for Israel from Sweden are probably bought and brought by them as well. No need to panic, the right wing people are only good organizers, so I´d say a few "good men" paid extreme amounts to vote for Israel yesterday, that worked out well didn´t it?

At the same time I feel sorry for them having to be "held hostage" by such a corrupt organization as the ESC for a whole year! Just look at Loreen, they even had her strapped on stage to keep her from running.. (me trying to be humorous)

 

I will NOT claim this petition to be a success, I will keep it open and will check in on it from time to time. I have grown attached to it. And I will check the e-mail I´ve posted as well.  But there wont be regular updates.

Update 20240511

As of today 2024-05-11 it really must have come clear to many that the EBU sets its own rules, laws and standards. 
They have stopped the Netherlands from performing in tonight’s ESC show due to a “violent incident” with a female staff member on the Arena in Malmo.

And the EBU has also stated in press releases that they have zero tolerance for any kind of violence.

But…. For Israel, that has been MURDERING over 40 000 Palestinians since the 7th of October there is no problems for them entering the stage.

These double standards and extreme ignorance from the EBU will hopefully be the death of the “non political” event Eurovision Song Contest.

I said it before and say it again, Israel owns the ESC, and Israel is using the ESC as its biggest source to wash away the blood from their ethnic cleansing and ongoing genocide on Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

Why I started this petition 

First of all, Why is ISRAEL even a participant in the Eurovision Song Contest competition.

Second of all, nobody wants to see, hear or have anything to do with Israel as the state is a violator of so many human rights during its genocide in Gaza! Israel is committing serious war crimes on a daily basis in Gaza & the West Bank towards Palestinians. And as of January 2024 Israel are currently in court (ICJ) for committing genocide.

And why should people who watch the ESC in millions for entertainment purposes have to involuntarily support Israeli interests and unlawful actions.

Thou it might seem as a minor thing to stop Israel´s participation in the Eurovison Song Contest 2024, especially in times where they have increased and continue the vial crimes of killings of civilians in Gaza.

But a public "shaming" in a field where Israel feels safe is still a very important statement against their crimes against international laws and their continued killing of children and civilians in Gaza.

Also, me being a Swede, and that the CEO of the Eurovision Song Contest Mr Martin Österdahl is Swedish, is making this petition extra important for me to grow.

So please, feel free to share and promote this petition. Not only for the signatures, but also for more views on the information in the added links in the petition.

When Russia invaded Ukraine ESC was very fast and firm, banning Russia from participation and even made a "low key" celebratory Ukranian theme on the final.

Please help stop Israel from participating in Eurovision Song Contest in Malmoe 2024 and have them banned from the competition for all future shows.

Though it might be hard, since Israeli company Moroccan oil is one of the ESC ´s biggest sponsors...
