BAN "From the River to the Sea" Make it Illegal in the UK

The Issue

As a Jewish individual living in the UK, I am deeply distressed and intimidated by a chant that has become all too common. The phrase "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free" is not just an expression of political sentiment; it is a statement that carries with it an anti-Jewish and anti-Israel undertone. Each time I hear this chant or see it written down, I feel harassed and unwelcome in my own country. It forces me into hiding my Jewish identity for fear of persecution - a clear violation of my human rights.

This chant is not just offensive to me personally but also poses as an intimidating threat to all Jews and Israelis living in Britain. It can be seen as nothing less than a declaration of genocide against Israel - the world's only Jewish state.

The Community Security Trust reported 1,805 anti-Semitic incidents across Britain in 2019 alone (source: CST), demonstrating how pervasive this issue has become. This alarming statistic underscores why we need urgent action from our government.

We are calling on lawmakers to recognize this chant as what it truly is – offensive, harassing, intimidating – and make its use illegal within our borders. We ask that they take steps towards creating an environment where everyone can express their faith without fear or intimidation.

Please sign this petition if you believe no one should have their human rights violated because of their faith or nationality.
