A protest against hare coursing will be held this Saturday 19th October 2024 outside the coursing field in Edenderry (Next to Lidl and Tesco). Please join us for this peaceful protest from 12 to 3pm.
During the 2-day animal cruelty event, hares violently netted from the countryside will be used as live bait for greyhounds. The hares will suffer the fear and stress of running for their lives and those hit and mauled by the dogs may suffer painful life-threatening injuries such as broken bones or damaged legs and toes.
With a RED C opinion poll confirming that a 77 per cent majority of citizens want hare coursing banned (with just 9% disagreeing with a ban), it is now time for politicians to consign this nasty bloodsport to history. Make your voice heard at our peaceful protest. Please be there for the hares and encourage friends and family members to join you.
