Senator  Markwayne Mullin ,Senator James Paul Lankford  ,FDA, DOT ,NHTSA needs to act now! If they don't alot more accidents and life's lost will happen with these blinding LED headlights! and we can't let that happen. I started a petition because I knew if we all came together we could ban LED headlights and replace them with adaptive headlights,recall the vehicles that were sold already with LED and ticket the people who bought after market led (wich are illegal)and installed them.the   adaptive headlights  were already approved by NHTSA IN Feb 2022 so whats taking them so long ? And how about the cars and trucks that already have the LED?Something has to be done now!

Please take just a minute to sign and share today Headlight Regulations: The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regulation FMVSS-108 is applicable to point sources only, not surface sources. Since LED headlights are surface sources, LED headlights are not compliant with FMVSS-108 and are not safe.

The Motor Vehicle Safety Act defines motor vehicle safety: “motor vehicle safety” means.
 The performance of a motor 
vehicle or motor vehicle equipment in a way that protects the public against unreasonable risk of accidents. Occurring because of the design, construction, or performance of a motor vehicle, and against unreasonable risk of death or injury in an accident, and includes nonoperational safety of a motor vehicle.
LED headlights are an obvious design flaw because of the bullet shape of the light. This shape creates an unreasonable risk of death or injury, so LED headlights do not meet the definition of motor vehicle safety. LED headlights violate the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Aftermarket LED Headlights???
LeRoy Angeles, Senior Compliance Engineer at NHTSA, wrote a letter in 2021 explaining that not a single aftermarket LED headlight has ever been approved by NHTSA. This means that every single aftermarket LED headlight on the road is illegal, and yet no government agency is doing anything about it.
Why are these still legal?
 The answer is that LED headlights have never been legal.
LED headlights are toxic, dangerous, and discriminatory, and they have NEVER been approved by the government
The Soft Lights Foundation says  the intensity and color temperature distract drivers, causing accidents ,  migraines and more.
WHAT CAN BE DONE  And not in years or decades but NOW. !
Smart lightS ! known as Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) headlights, use sensors to automatically change the shape, brightness and direction of their light without reducing drivers' visibility.
Make it mandatory .
Remember if an accident is caused because of your blinding LED'S you can be held responsible.

The U.S. OPTED NOT TO match the light intensity of the European standard, so experts say they won't be as effective. Ummm Really?

They say concentrate on the white line to your right?What about in front of us?people crossing?a stalled vehicle?garbage cans out to far?roads that don't have the white line?How do we see in front of us if we are looking down  concentrating on the the white line to our right? Answer is we can't.These lights don't only affect the elderly but also the young , people who wear glasses and people who don't .
