The original name was 'Africa' on the Square. A beautiful music festival which started 2014 provided by African singers, musicians and performers. On sale is a wide variety of African food stalls, African art and textiles and African books. There are also artists from the African diaspora.

Festival Location: Trafalgar Square - right in the 'heart' of London.

7,000-plus people attend this festival which also draws a lot of tourists.

The Mayor of London's Office (Mayor Khan), out of the blue last year, decided to change the festival's name from 'Africa' on the Square to 'Black' on the Square!! 

The majority of people attending the festival are African/African-Caribbean/from the African diaspora.
