Ban beastiality and zoophilia nationwide

The Issue

My heart breaks every time I think of my childhood dog, Shayla, who endured years of abuse. Although her suffering was not from zoophilia, witnessing her pain has made me acutely aware of how defenseless animals are against human cruelty. This drives me to speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves and to demand change on their behalf.

Beastiality and zoophilia are forms of animal sexual abuse that exploit animals, taking advantage of their inability to consent. It is incomprehensible that in this day and age, there are places where such acts are not explicitly criminalized. Animals are sentient beings who deserve our protection, not our abuse.

Statistics show that around the world, animal abuse is often linked with other forms of violence, and perpetrators frequently commit crimes against humans as well. According to research, those who abuse animals are five times more likely to harm humans. We must take a stand against all forms of cruelty to create a safer world for both animals and people.

Several states have already recognized the need for stricter laws against animal sexual abuse, but we need a unified effort to make beastiality and zoophilia a crime across the entire nation. Doing so will serve as a strong message that our society values the well-being and dignity of all animals.

Please sign this petition to demand that lawmakers take decisive action in banning beastiality and zoophilia nationwide. Together, we can give a voice to the voiceless and help ensure a safer, more humane world for all living beings. Animal lives matter!
