Great news! I have a half hour meeting booked with Lana Popham this coming Friday! Lana is the NDP MLA for Saanich South and the Opposition Spokesperson for Agriculture and Food. Having a meeting with her is huge not only because she is the Critic for Agriculture, but also because we need the NDP in support of our petition and cause if we want to win. Polls are showing a very high likeliness of an NDP Government being elected in the 2017 election. If we can get a private members bill introduced with our petition with the Government's support, it's almost guaranteed to pass. Many of you may be asking why I'm not putting my efforts into getting the current Liberal Government in support of our petition. The reason for that is they have shown not to be supportive of even any sort of move against battery cages. But not to worry, I have trust in the NDP and Lana Popham as she was someone who grew up raising her own animals. I will be sure to update you all as soon as I can on how our meeting goes.
