I have been an avid user of Twitch.tv and have enjoyed sharing this platform with my friends and community. However, my experience has been deeply affected by the presence of a streamer known as Asmongold, who frequently uses his platform to spread dangerous and harmful ideas.

Asmongold has repeatedly displayed behavior that undermines the principles of respect, equality, and safe community interaction that Twitch.tv strives to uphold. He often uses his broadcasts to disseminate racist ideas, promote violence, and support white supremacy.

Furthermore, he has been heard defending acts of genocide and spreading hatred against women.

• Asmongold laughing at a women who was shot by police in Minnesota

His words and actions create an atmosphere of intolerance and hostility that is incompatible with the values of diversity and inclusivity that many Twitch users hold dear.

This behavior is not just offensive to many in the community—it is dangerous. Twitch.tv, a platform that reaches millions of viewers worldwide, has a responsibility to ensure that its contributors do not use their influence to propagate hatred and violence. Asmongold's continued presence on the platform normalizes these harmful ideologies and exposes countless viewers, including impressionable young audiences, to potentially radicalizing content.

Allowing Asmongold to remain on Twitch risks fostering a community where hate and violence become normalized. It is crucial that Twitch.tv upholds its community standards and takes decisive action against those who consistently violate them.

We call upon Twitch.tv to take a stand against hate speech and harmful content by banning Asmongold from the platform. This action would demonstrate Twitch’s commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive environment for all users.
