I am creating this petition to get Artificial Reefs to be banned because of reasons I will list.

First, They cause damage to native environments. As they attract invasive species like lion fish, like puffer fish, you don't want to touch it. And can cause a unnatural shift in population because invasive species don't have natural predators, look at Army corps of engineers in Mississippi Delta and game & wildlife in Texas for example they are dealing with the flying fish by electrocution and open season on boars with M2 .50 Cals and Artificial reefs will add to this mess. Then there is overfishing that always wipes out entire species.

Second is Debris from metal objects like ships, automotives/trucks, Tanks, Railroad equipment will destroy natural corral. and in the case of the SS United States & Aircraft, toxic because of Aluminum in their structure which will oxidize in saltwater and will put divers in a death trap that will kill them. PCBs which is Federally controlled substance requires an EPA agent on site which will cause damage like how EPA chewed out Florida back in 2012 because USS Oriskany (1942 Essex class carrier of World War 2) has been leaking PCBs. Also USS Oriskany caused more friendly deaths as a fake reef than during war time as Divers ran out of oxygen and drowned because they got lost in the ship.

Third, They can be a cause of destroying/erasing historic artifacts which is a Communist practice. As Okaloosa county basically violated the 1966 NHPA section 106 as the SS United States is an NRHP registered Historic Place since June 3 1999. and scuttling the USS Oriskany which is historic artifact falls in this category.

Fourth, they are not ADA compliant and a source of segregation as fake reefs discriminates against families with small children and people with disabilities as they can't pass medical screening required to Scuba dive, which requires cash which also financially discriminates against the economy class as it only caters to the wealthy. 

Fifth, they don't create jobs as scrapping and boneyards creates more jobs and can recycle to make new things. For Historic ships like SS United States and USS Oriskany, doing the same repurposing like the Queen Mary creates more jobs and is Extremely ADA compliant.

Artificial reefs are a lie created by the wealthy to deceive the economy class to steal opportunities away from a child's future, damage native environments, Cause harm by poisoning drinking water and deaths. (I won't put Elon Musk in that category as he is more respectable)

Which no existing artificial reefs should be grandfathered in even after military training targets. Only Shipwrecks that can be grandfathered in are Wargraves(sunk during wartime like WW2, not peacetime like operation crossroads) and accidental shipwrecks marked as a gravesite because of lives lost with the ship(like RMS Titanic). 

Share this to everyone you know, if we can get Artificial reefs banned before SS United States gets illegally sunk, good, if not, she will be raised anyways. Artificial reefs are political tools which is a Scam reefs. Artificial reefs is Scam Reefs.

I recently found out that the SS United States which used federally funded during her construction, carried more Federally controlled Substance than just PCBs, and Okaloosa County ain't removing it, this will harm the Florida coastal environment, including the chance that the native coral & sea life will get harmed. And the US Navy ended the Scam reef program after the 2012 Oriskany PCB leakage.
