According to the World Health Organization, alcohol is responsible for 3 million deaths worldwide every year, representing 5.3% of all deaths including car accidents .

The exposure to advertising significantly contributes to this statistic by influencing the behaviors of impressionable audiences, leading to increased consumption and subsequent abuse.

Countries such as Norway and France have already implemented successful bans on alcohol advertising, seeing notable drops in alcohol-related harm. Taking this step could dramatically reduce alcohol misuse and its devastating impacts in our society. This is not just about advocating for change; it’s about protecting our communities, our families, and our future generations from the trap of alcohol abuse.
