With the recent news of Toei using ai in their backgrounds, there is no guarantee that they will not move on forward with the use of Ai for future projects, as we have seen and heard then use of Ai in the previous work “Number 1 Sentai, Gyozyugers”. Tokusatsu has traditionally been made by human hands and techniques. Special effects has been utilized since the Heisei era but using ai as a “tool” takes away the spirit of the genre. Shotaro Ishinomori, the king of Manga and creator of both Kamen rider and Super Sentai, would have been disappointed and disheartened by the use of this tool being utilized in tokusatsu. Especially putting in consideration of the ethical use of Ai in entertainment, both the Ai stealing artwork from others and the environmental damages it caused to the planet.

Therefore to the following companies who produce and distribute Tokusatsu: Toei, Tsuburaya, TOMY, and Hasbro. We ask of you, as fans, to ban Ai in any and all Tokusatsu projects; regardless of its role in the production. Whether it is being used for backgrounding (as you claimed), fully designing and creating characters or writing scripts. We ask these companies, both western and eastern fans alike, to remove ai from productions. It insults not only us as fans and supporters of the genre, but it also insults Tokusatsu itself as well as one of the biggest creators of Tokusatsu, Shotaro Ishinomori.
