Ban 18+/lewd accounts from Instagram!

Ban 18+/lewd accounts from Instagram!
The Issue
When you think of Instagram, you think of it as being a nice place to post nice pictures of your family, nice pictures of you and your friends, a pet, or even to promote a business, because that's ultimately what the social platform was created for. So, when you take that into consideration, you wouldn't think you'd find all sorts of accounts where men, and mostly women, are exposing themselves in sexually suggestive ways to promote other sexually suggestive things they do for a living, but unfortunately, you do. Listed below are additional reasons why all accounts of women and men intentionally sexualizing themselves for the attention and profit should be permanently banned from Instagram, and no more should be allowed to be made.
- Social platforms should be more family friendly. You shouldn't have to worry that your underage child may find inappropriate content not at all suitable for their age, even if there are parental controls available for use.
- 18+/lewd accounts where men and women intentionally sexualize their bodies for the attention and promotion of adult sites for the profit are demeaning, disgusting, degrading, and telling viewers it's ok to sexualize them when it's never ok.
- Encourages toxic masculinity.
- Gives people unrealistic expectations from current or future significant other.
- Can be harmful to relationships.
- Damaging to mental/physical/emotional health.
We do not hate the people that are putting themselves out there like that. We just hate that they are putting themselves out there like that with seemingly no shame. Love your body. Respect your body. Don't put yourself out there like that just because you like it and can make money off of it. Just because you like doing it doesn't make it right.
Please join me in fighting for a safer social platform. Together I believe we can make Instagram change its rules on nudity and sexual activity, get rid of all 18+/lewd accounts, and allow no more to be made. Thank you to all who support this!
