This petition is in support of the proposed indoor 50 metre pool facility for the following reasons -

1. The infrastructure of Ballarat's current aquatic facilities is inadequate to serve a fast growing City such as Ballarat

2. The needs of the community must be served by providing more facilities for learn to swim programs and as such will alleviate current waiting lists

3. An indoor 50 Metre facility will ease the strain of the already overloaded aquatic facilities which will assist in decreasing childhood obesity and the associated economic complications

4. A new facility will aid the City of Ballarat's economy through sports tourism
