Those films are a brilliant and heartfelt documentary of the development of fracking in the US and its devastating effect on the ordinary people who find themselves living with it. You have probably seen the dreadful news that Conservative Communities Secretary Sajid Javid has given the go-ahead to fracking in Lancashire, overruling the local council's decision to reject applications; more than 14,000 written objections from locals and a petition of over 180,000 people. Local democracy has been overruled by central government setting a dangerous precedent for the rest of the country. Sussex, Nottinghamshire and North Yorkshire are next in line.
