BAN the continued unlawful blocking of Lagos State roads by END SARS protesters NOW!

The Issue

The End SARS protesters have caused untoward socio-economic hardship to the over 20 million Lagosians by their deliberate and unlawful blocking of roads in Lagos State.

This is gross violation of the extant laws against unlawful assembly and road blocks.

Section 41 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Prohibition of Road blocks and Obstruction of traffic laws, Public Order Act, the Quarantine Act as well as the various legislation against the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic have all been flagrantly flouted by the protesters.

The State governor and the Government of Lagos State must rise up to the occasion by outrightly BANNING the continued protests and the unlawful blocking of the roads by the protesters. A CURFEW must be issued immediately to arrest any further breakdown of law and order.

Every of the 20 million Lagosians have rights to free movement and this right must not be further abused by a select few.
