Compliments of the Season to One and All!

Thanks very much for your support.  Jim Whitelegg has told us,      'be assured we do value the market' .He has said that Chair of Licensing Jackie O'Quinn agrees.  We'll see what they have decided after the 'Consultation'.                                                                    

The feed back that I have had  from Councillors has been different..

He says that he is 'aware of the comments'  that I have made, on behalf of us all, and my response to the consultation.                 These 'are noted and will be included in the report going to committee'

He also said that the Consultation period ended on 27th November. How any form of 'consultation' could have been held without the collection of sufficient information ,such as that shared by your comments, is beyond my understanding. The Committee are aware that this petition exists. Whether or not they have read it or your comments I cannot say.

I have had no positive responses or even acknowledgement from the 100 or so Councillors that I have made aware of our case.

Jim Whitelegg has mentioned that the 'licensing team were contacted by a journalist who had heard great things about the market and is looking to do a good news feature on the market in spring next year.'

I wonder if this was one of the journalists that I have already spoken to?

We'll find out after Christmas what is really happening but in the meantime I shall carry on gathering what information I can and sharing bit with you.  Thanks again for your support band please continue to share this message to get more signatures.
