Hoy voy a compartir con ustedes la acción que nos ayudará a proteger a la comunidad LGBT en Rusia y a hacer que la Dra. Bukhanovskaya rinda cuentas. Esta acción consiste en presentar una queja ante la ONU.
¿Pero qué resultados dará? Es probable que la ONU investigue este caso y elabore un informe al respecto. Como consecuencia, más personas conocerán el problema. Además, Rusia es miembro de la ONU y, a veces, el gobierno tiene que reaccionar ante las decisiones del organismo. A largo plazo, este caso puede servir de base para sanciones internacionales o incluso para procesos judiciales dentro de Rusia.
Finalmente, el funcionamiento de la clínica Fénix se verá seriamente afectado, ya que el centro quedará bajo presión internacional. Asimismo, podría enfrentarse a una severa persecución por parte de las autoridades rusas.

Today, I'm going to share with you about the action that will help us to protect LGBT community in Russia and make Dr.Bukhsnovskaya pay. This action is to file a complaint with the UN.
But what results will it give? Probably, UN will investigate this case and make a report about it. Consequently, more people will get to know about the issue. Also, Russia is a member of UN, and sometimes government has to react on body's decisions. In the long term, this case can be used as a base for international sanctions, or even court cases inside Russia.
Finally, operation of Fenix clinic will be seriously disrupted, as the facility will get under international pressure. Also, it may encounter serious persecution from Russian authorities.

Сегодня я хочу рассказать вам о действии, которое поможет нам защитить ЛГБТ-сообщество в России и заставит доктора Бухановскую заплатить. Это действие — подача жалобы в ООН.Но какие результаты это принесет? Скорее всего, ООН расследует это дело и составит по нему отчет. В результате больше людей узнают об этой проблеме. Кроме того, Россия является членом ООН, и иногда правительству приходится реагировать на решения этой организации. В долгосрочной перспективе это дело может быть использовано в качестве основы для международных санкций или даже судебных дел внутри России.
В итоге работа клиники «Феникс» будет серьезно нарушена, так как учреждение окажется под международным давлением. Также оно может столкнуться с серьезным преследованием со стороны российских властей.
