Award National Intelligence Cross to Binney, Wiebe and Colleagues for Exposing NSA Misdeed
The Issue
As I know so many countless Americans are, as one of millions, I am deeply committed to the principles of freedom and staunchly against any form of government invasion. Therefore, this cause, the recognition of the whistle-blowers Bill Binney, Kirk Weibe and their colleagues, holds a significant personal meaning to me. Their courageous act not only brought the unconstitutional activities of NSA under scrutiny, but also led the way for future whistle-blowers, such as Edward Snowden. They shed a light on the possibility that the Bush-Cheney Administration could have safeguarded the privacy of citizens, but chose not to. Their constitutional rights, primarily against unlawful search and seizure, were violated through the manipulative use of technology. According to a study by the Brennan Center for Justice, the NSA's mass surveillance program, revealed by these intelligence heroes, is inefficient and has had practically no impact on countering terrorism. By awarding them the National Intelligence Cross, we will not only acknowledge their courageous acts but also promote accountability and transparency among intelligence agencies. Stand up for true patriots who put people’s rights over their personal safety. Please, sign this petition demanding the recognition they deserve.
