Hair Equality: price equity for curly 'textured' hair in salons

The Issue

As women of colour we're already fighting two pay gaps, gender and race. To then have to pay more for a haircut in this day and age is unacceptable.

If you're as tired as I am of salons, such as Aveda, woke-washing their campaigns with black and mixed-race models, claiming inclusivity, marketing to us, all the while financially discriminating against us, charging us more for services because they do not employ, as standard practice, stylists who can cut all hair types please sign this petition. We ask that salons recognise all hair as 'normal' hair and for their brand value of inclusivity to be a reality.
