Hi everyone 

I am still overwhelmed with all your signatures & comments & support & sharing my wee petition.

I came here to fight for myself & other autistic adults with no help or support & left to fend for themselves after diagnosis. 

Autistic adults like me, are already battling the nt world as its not built for us. We try our best to adapt but its very hard when you see & feel the world differently being ND. 

LA (Councils) do not want to help you or financially explot you. There is also a inhuman degrading dwp system thats broken with pip / esa reviews & constant form filling & anxiety & stress. And there lies or they just see you as an number & a satistic. To get you off benefits in anyway possible. Or just make up lies & stop your benefits. Or end up fighting via MR ( mandatory reconsideration) or worse tribunals. 

We are passed to mental health ( yes autistic adults do have comorbid of MH ), they don't have the educational training or know how of autistic folk. And also the mental health system due to lack of funds is also broken & so is the system. Hense why many autistics are detained in units & get locked up & gets worse & deterioration & or die ( or suicide ). 

Becuse autism comes under MH not neurological & it needs to change. It was supposed to be changing via parliament & law, with the NAS ( national autistic society) but ive heard nothing since 2021..

I went though my own fighting of getting help & supporting after autism diagnosis of 2017. I was left stressed & exhausted & mentally drained due to fighting with my local authority. Who lied & exploited me via financial & who never did a care assessment properly x2 & 1 being an unqualified social worker. I couldn't have an advocate either as i was not severe enough due to a high functioning label. Or it was my age that went against me. Its a shit system & how it is for autistic adults. Its no wonder many give up and take there life. Your fighting for everything day in & day out..

Its why i started this petition , i am no miracle worker or if this will change how autistic adults are treated & needing the high functioning label removed as it causes harm & gets you no help or support. 

I became an autistic advocate & youtuber to help other autistic adults etc in the same boat as me. I don't have all the answers or a wand. I am just another voice in the autistic community.
