The issue

Every day, I witness the struggles people face, and yet, our government continues to distract us with short-lived financial incentives, which ultimately we end up repaying. It is our hard-earned money they are using, and our taxes fund their responsibilities to safeguard our interests. However, it often feels like their priorities lie with international concerns and unnecessary excursions. We demand change, and we need it now.

There is an urgent need to implement "Back to Basics" education programs, focusing on fundamental skills and knowledge, instead of discussing personal life choices with young children, especially those as young as four years old, without seeking prior parental consent. Our personal and online rights are quietly being eroded, often without our consent or any substantial public consultation. This needs to stop immediately.

Moreover, Australia is facing a severe housing crisis with both availability and affordability reaching horrendous levels. This leaves many Australians homeless and struggling to make ends meet. It is unacceptable that in a country as resourceful as ours, people are left hungry and without shelter. We must address these issues by prioritizing Australians and controlling immigration numbers to ensure our citizens are cared for first.

Additionally, transparency over how foreign aid is distributed is crucial. Citizens have a right to know how their money is being spent abroad, especially when public services at home are stretched thin. The growing violence, particularly against women, which is exacerbated by religious extremism, must be addressed decisively.

Finally, our tax burden is too high. The economic pressures on individuals and families are increasing, and relief is urgently needed to help people meet their daily living expenses and achieve a decent quality of life.

By focusing on protecting our fundamental educational principles, reducing tax pressures, enhancing transparency, and prioritizing domestic welfare over international aid and immigration, we can build a stronger and more equitable Australia. Please join me in signing this petition to demand significant change from our government to prioritize the welfare and rights of Australian citizens above all.
