Australians close to poverty!!!! Not The lucky country anymore!!!

The issue

I am an Australian citizen, deeply concerned about the rising cost of living in our country. It has become increasingly difficult for many Australians to afford basic necessities such as food and housing. This is not just my personal struggle, but a shared reality that affects countless individuals across our nation.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, over 3 million people in Australia are living below the poverty line (source: Australian Council of Social Service). This includes 739,000 children who are growing up in households where even meals can be uncertain. The cost of housing has also skyrocketed with median house prices more than seven times average incomes (source: The Guardian).

This is a call to action for our government to prioritize affordability and ensure that all Australians have access to basic needs without financial strain. We urge them to review and revise current policies related to wages, groceries, fuel, taxation, and social benefits with a focus on reducing economic inequality.

Many Australians are now contemplating moving to another country so they can live a more comfortable life.

Our superannuation deposits from our companies are taxed at 15% which reduces money for their retirement funding and will inevitably result in more people needing to rely on the aged pension. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Superannuation was introduced to prevent aged pensioners requiring government assistance in their well-deserved retirement.

Australia in the 3rd highest country in the world for the grocery prices. People are not able to feed their own families, whilst the board members are getting wealthier on our misery.

Please sign this petition if you believe in an Australia where everyone can afford a decent standard of living.
