UPDATE - 3 YEARS LATER COUNTING .....

..... AUSTRALIAN HOME OWNERSHIP RIGHTS

Here we are ... 3 years later ... and many many thousands of dollars spent. We have had undertaken approx 15 Revisions of our Architects house drawings with our Heritage Architects and Town Planners, with the aim to produce a set of drawings for our refurbished Home that will comply with some of the arbitrary guidelines.

Dont kid yourself. The Randwick Council and the local Greenies are not looking for an environmentally sustainable outcome, or they would have let us rebuild the home from scratch and remove all the asbestos, poor insulation etc etc. 

We have completed a "PRE DA" to ensure we meet the known impediments to a successful lodgment of our DA. Naturally enough, we were required to undertake a few further amendments to our "PRE DA" propposal by the Randwick Councils Heritage Advisor and Development Planing Team. But so far that seems okay.

Next we have lodged our DA Application, displayed the Councils Development Application on our front gate, and waited to invite the public to comment on the DA Proposal. 

Now, we are advised by the Randwick Council that we have further considerations to address, that have been raised as a result of PUBLIC COMMENTS received, that range from too many cars, we take up too many public car spaces, we are too noisy, the proposed house in the DA is too big ... and so on. No doubt we will see a complete list of the comments in the fullness of time and as the council moves forward. 

Th Council officer advised that I would be asked address the various comments at a Heritage Meeting in July 2021. I ask would the Inviduals that made these comments be available to discuss this with. Of course .... the answer is NO. These invisible protestors are hidden by rules that prevent normal Australian from raising the comments with the source, and more importantly, to find out if these people really do exist, and if they in fact, live anyhere near our subject property ........

Politicians that dont want to be seen upsetting the Public...  YOU AND ME. They need to know that you want them to ACT.

All Australians deserve to have the right to develop within existing current Town Planning guidelines, without local Councils changing the rules and spot rezoning our homes.
