Thank you to everyone for your support. How can it be, when the abject failure of chemotherapy for paediatric brain cancer is documented far and wide - that this is happening. This vile assault on a wee boy is beyond comprehension. How about some honesty to the parents - how about saying "These treatments are available, they're pretty destructive, but we're hoping to one day get it right. We'll support you if you'd like to participate." Whatever gains had been made post surgery, are out the window - well and truly. Oshin's hair went within the first few days, his teeth are starting to fall out. He's been in ICU with major infections, which they've bombarded with broad spectrum a/biotics. He's now just started the second round of chemo - starting with four hours of methotrexate, followed by vincristine. There's to be another full week of the most foul cocktail - all in "the child's best interest" God help me. He is bruised by being physically restrained to administer treatments, and has also been bound hand & feet by sheets (no bruising).
