Budget 2018-19 commits to reforming the BMP and MRBS Schemes

BREAKING NEWS The Federal Budget 2018-19 has committed to invest in a Stronger Rural Health Strategy which includes funding to dramatically and positively reform the BMP and MRBS Scholarship Schemes. The reforms are said to include introduction of a new consistent 3 year bonding period, an option for existing participants to opt into these new arrangements, as well as introduction of support for bonded participants. Many thanks to everyone who has supported this petition, as well as those who contributed individually and through other advocacy groups to keep BMP and MRBS on the national agenda. We look forward to seeing these Budget measures being implemented for the benefit of participants and rural Australian communities.
